Stiles vows to fight Doug Ford’s Jobs Disaster ahead of session

QUEEN’S PARK — Marit Stiles and the Ontario NDP vow to fight Doug Ford's jobs disaster ahead of the legislative session:

“Ontarians again put their faith in Doug Ford to protect jobs but what they got instead is a jobs disaster,” said Stiles. “800,000 Ontarians are out of work, and with every new headline, we see the risk of more layoffs, more job losses, and rising unemployment.

“While Doug Ford eats his ice cream, pours out his liquor for the media, and tells you to “look harder” for jobs, New Democrats will head back to the legislature laser-focused on uplifting workers and strengthening our economy.

“We will fight to protect good, union jobs, and make sure they stay right here in Ontario by investing in key sectors like manufacturing, forestry, and auto. We will push for solutions to strengthen our economic sovereignty with resilient local supply chains and Buy Ontario First procurement mandates.

“People need the chance to get ahead and climb out of the disaster that this government has created, and that is exactly what we will be focused on in Queen’s Park."

The Ontario NDP also launched a dashboard to keep the focus on Ford’s failures on jobs.
